Obituary of Mabel Charlotte Casteel

Mabel Charlotte Casteel age 94 of Garden Grove, California died Saturday, April 20, 2024. 

Mabel was born January 12, 1930, in Clarinda, Iowa to Cecil Everett and Mabel Charlotte Stewart SR.  Mabel worked at the drug store in her youth and later at the telephone company in Clarinda until moving to California in 1959.

She was married to Guy Casteel Jr of Clarinda, Iowa from August 23, 1946, until he preceded her in death in 2006.  Also preceding her in death were her brothers Harold K Heumphreus, Robert G. Heumphreus, Raymond E Heumphreus, Donald L. Stewart, Ferrell K. Stewart, and her oldest grandson Dennis A. Decker of Utah.

She is survived by her two children, Dennis L. Casteel and Deanna L (Casteel) Decker-Rice, three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren plus several nieces and nephews and many friends.
